In My Mailbox #9

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren.

I had some goodies in my mailbox this week! I received a range of wonderful Aussie titles from Queensland University Press (imprint of Penguin Australia) for review. I hope to post reviews for these books during ‘Aussie August’ month.

I also made some purchases- naughty naughty! The Morganville Vampires Vol 1 and Vol 2 by Rachel Caine turned up from Fishpond (for a ridiculously cheap price!) and my lovely boyfriend managed to track down One For the Money (Stephanie Plum #1) by Janet Evanovich at the local secondhand bookstore- so I have two new series to make a start on!

What books arrived in your mailbox this week?

  • I absolutely LOVE the morganville vampires series! I’m not a huge reader of YA at all, but this series I adore. Yet i’ve read Rachel Caines Weather Warden series and didn’t enjoy that one at all. Go figure. And as for Stephanie Plum – I’ve read them all. LOL. They’re good fluff for times you just want to smile, drool over hot guys, and not think very hard. Once you get into the series, you will have to declare youself as either a Morelli Cupcake or a Ranger Babe. LOL. Btw, Ranger in the first book is VERY different to how he is in the rest.

    • Thanks Jaki, I’ve come across many great reviews for the morganville vampire series and I’ve wanted to read them for a long time! I’ve heard great things about the Stephanie Plum series and I think the ‘fluff’ is exactly what appeals to me, it’s a bit of fun with some action! Thanks for your comments. I’m looking forward to being team Morelli or team Ranger!

  • Hey 😀 That’s an awesome IMM 😀 I hope you enjoy all your books. I love Morganville Vampire serie 🙂 And I think the last ones are even better!

    Happy reading 😀

Ps: Thank you for stopping by my blog 😀

  • Some of those Aussie titles from Queensland press look terrific and I can’t wait to see what you think of Janet Evanovich!

    • I know, I am looking forward to reading these during ‘Aussie August’ month. I can’t wait to read One for the Money but given my review schedule at the moment I may not get to it until September 🙁
