Feature and Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read
This week’s feature for FF is fellow Aussie blogger Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out, so if you haven’t been over there, please check out her blog if you get a chance 🙂
Q: Which book genre do you avoid at all costs and why?
I tend to be an eclectic reader and enjoy anything from YA to paranormal to memoirs and classics. But because I am a big scaredy cat, i tend to draw the line at horror novels. They freak me out… and since I do most of my reading at night… all those noises in the evening make me extra jumpy if i’ve watched or read something creepy! You never know, I may be able to stomach them one day. I never used to read crime or mystery and now really enjoy the genre… so perhaps I will broaden my reading horizons even further in the future…

I definitely don’t read scary stuff at night, but I’m pretty much an eclectic reader too. My post will be up in a little over an hour!
I don’t read horror either! I used to not read other genres but blogging has changed that!
Yes, blogging definitely encourages you to step out of your (reading) comfort zone!
I used to read nothing but horror until my kids were born then I lost interest though I still love Stephen King
Thanks for stopping by Book’d Out earlier!

I’m too chicken to read Stephen King… just the covers are scary enough!
I get scared easily as well but I do love the thrill the Horror genre bring. I’m a huge R.L. Stine fan when I was a kid. 🙂 Happy Friday!

Hi! Thanks so much for following my blog, I’m following you back (I subscribed via email.) I don’t like horror, either. I’m way too wimpy, and since I read my books late at night, I don’t like going to sleep with paranoid thoughts that I’m going to be eaten. 😉

Hopping through. I’m not a fan of horror either. There has to be something special to draw me to it.
My Hop
Thanks for stopping by! I can do horror, as long as it’s not “super scary OMG I need to sleep with the lights on” LOL.
