What’s been happening at The Australian Bookshelf this week? I wasn’t able to participate in last week’s FF so here’s a round-up of the past two weeks:
Release of my new novel, Intuition now available on Amazon
Olive Morgan is not your typical psychologist. She can also access the memories of anyone she comes into contact with. After an explosion in a Sydney shopping mall, Olive is enlisted alongside a team of ‘Elite’ consultants. She joins Canan Jones who can attune to the emotions of other people, including Olive. Initially, she distrusts the agency, but when another explosion threatens more lives Olive has no choice but to use her skill to prevent another disaster. Is terrorism really at play or is the agency hiding the real reason behind these attacks? Olive wants to solve the case, but her personal life is suffering. Despite having a boyfriend, she feels a connection brewing with Canan, who has an uncanny way of making her feel calm when life becomes overwhelming… Intuition is a tale of supernatural suspense and the first book in the Elite Series. Q: What book would you love to see made into a movie or television show and do you have actors/actresses in mind to play the main characters?
The last book i read that i thought would look awesome on the big screen was The Girl in the Steel Corset by Kady Cross. It’s steampunk with strong, unique characters. I read this mid 2012, so i can’t remember all the characters and my thoughts on them, so I thought i would just give a picture of the protagonist Finley Jayne, Griffin King, the Duke of Greythorne and Jack Dandy.
So, here’s The Girl in the Steel Corset starring….
- Channing Tatum as Jack Dandy
- Amanda Bynes as Finley Jayne
- Adam Brody as Griffin King
I haven’t read this yet, but I plan to soon!

I bought your other book in Jan and I just bought your new one, congrats on the release! I will have to read both of them very soon π
Amanda Bynes is such a good actor, I’d watch any move that she was cast in!
Oh, wow thank you so much! I hope you enjoy them both π
I love Amanda Bynes too and i think i have watched most of her movies! I especially love She’s the Man (I’m a soccer fan!) where she has a romance with Channing Tatum… so thought i’d bring them back together!
Never heard of this book but you chose a hot cast. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Happy FF.

Ooo I’d love to see Girl in the Steel Corset as a movie! I’d pick a different Griffin, though. I’m not sure why, but I pictured him differently. π

Thanks for stopping by. I haven’t read The Girl in the Steel Corset. Steampunk is not really my thing, I didn’t like Soulless by Gail Carriger for instance. But this sounds kinda good. And I love bad boys with a soft side. π
Ohhhhh! Amanda Baynes and Channing Tatum what a great combo! I have not read this book, I should look into it!
Thanks for stopping by my blog π
Sounds good, great casting.
