I had a lot of fun participating in the AWW2012 challenge, reading more than 70 books by Australian women writers. So, to continue supporting the cause I have signed up again for the 2013 challenge.
There are various levels of the challenge for reading and reviewing books by AWW, however I’ve decided to set my own personal challenge. As 71 out of 199 books I read in 2012 were by Australian women, I’m going to try and top that by reading 85 (that’s just over 7 books a month). Ideally, i’d like to get to 100 but I do intend to read less review copies this year so I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself.
My pledge: To read 85 books by Australian women during 2013
To sign up to the challenge, go to the official website or check out what was reviewed during 2012.
Good luck with your challenge, Lauren. That’s an impressive number of books read in 2012, and quite a goal for this year. I’m going the opposite way: my goal is to read fewer books and to write more. I’m hoping there’ll be great recommendations coming in from AWW2013 participants, though, to help me choose my reading.
Wow! That will be an impressive achievement when you get there! Good luck.
