This weekend is the Mudgee Reader’s Festival, an annual event to celebrate the joy of reading.
I had a great time last year meeting Margareta Osborne and sitting in on the crime fiction panel. Mudgee is a beautiful town in Western NSW and there’s plenty to do. This year my husband and our dog Buddy are heading back to Mudgee for the weekend. I haven’t exactly decided what author talks I want to see, but Katherine Howell (I reviewed Web of Deceit by Katherine Howell here) is a definite so far. Actually, what my hubby and I are most looking forward to is the huge second-hand book fair. I picked up so many great books at bargain prices last year and I know this year will be the same! I’d also like to check out the regional writer’s display.
The program for the festival can be viewed here and for more information about the festival, see the website.
Have a great time!
Thank you Bree. We had a great weekend!
Thanks for sharing this, you’ve convinced me it’s a must do for next year!
It’s well worth it Susan!
