Time for an update! I apologise for being completely MIA…. But we’ve been moving house and life has been very chaotic!
We’ve moved into a small rural town in south-west Sydney, it has a wonderful small-town feel… but only ten minutes from civilization. It’s beautiful and my dog loves it!
So in between madly painting the entire house in the past two weeks and beginning renovations…. I’ve also been a little preoccupied with our views:
Ahh. I could look at that for hours… if I wasn’t so busy.
Apart from that I have absolutely no home internet access at this stage (thank you Telstra for taking so long to send us a modem and get things organised!!) so I haven’t been able to get on here. I’ve decided to send this via my phone so that I can get something on my blog this month.
In the meantime, I’m reading a review copy of Reach For the Dreams by Anne McCullough Rennie. It was a (very) slow start but I’ve finally gotten into the story and hope to finish it by the end of the week. I plan to start getting reviews up again from next week as I have quite a few books for review lying around (somewhere) that I need to get a start on.
Thank you for your patience and dealing with my random absences over the last few months!
Have fun nesting. To have a rural feel so close to civilisation is a bonus. Will there be a veggie patch?
There will definitely be a veggie patch! I’ve already found a tomato vine and the lemon tree is full if fruit. It’s exciting to find out what else is about!
Are chickens part of the plan?
Oh we’d love to get chickens, but we have a cocker spaniel who likes to eat them! We’ve thought about a goat though… There’s a lot of lawn to now 🙂
A lovely view Lauren, it can take a while to get settled in a new place, take your time and enjoy!
Thank you Shelleyrae. It’s so peaceful here… In fact right now I can hear the rain dropping on our tin roof. Love it!
Congrats on your new place – it looks gorgeous!
Thanks Bree! We are loving it here. The renos are hard work but it’ll be worth it in the end.
Fantastic place to move to Lauren! Enjoy when you can – a book and a glass of wine overlooking the view sounds good to me 🙂
Yes, I’ve already had plenty of those moments Brenda. So relaxing and a lovely place to sit outside and get lost in the views 🙂
Love the view! I look forward to reading your future reviews, Lauren.
Thanks Kathryn, I hope to get one up next week. Hopefully my internet is sorted by then!
