Sydney Perinatal Psychologist
I am a registered psychologist, with a special interest in perinatal and infant mental health. I’ve worked in a public mental health facility in this field for eight years and prior to that, I worked for Family and Community Services (FaCS) for a few years. I also have experience in the disability sector and residential youth programs for adolescents in out-of-home care.
My special interest is working with women and couples during pregnancy and the postnatal period. It’s a complex time that impacts on a woman’s psychological, emotional and physical wellbeing. When the baby arrives, my role involves fostering the mother-infant bond though early mental health treatment, psychotherapy, and parent-infant interventions. My role is based in South-West Sydney and involves working with families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including refugees.
