Guest Blog Wednesdays with... Rose Pressey

This week on Guest Blog Wednesdays at The Australian Bookshelf we are joined by author, Rose Pressey.

Rose has put together a great post, welcome Rose!

I’m so happy to be guest blogging today on The Australian Bookshelf. My name is Rose Pressey and I write paranormal romance/urban fantasy. I love quirky characters and paranormal worlds. The idea for my book, No Shoes, No Shirt, No Spells came to me while I was dieting. My pants had become tight, and I didn’t have the extra money to spend on clothing. If only food were magic and had zero calories, I thought. That’s when the idea hit me. Food with magic. Mystic Café in Mystic Hollow, Kentucky popped into my head, then the reluctant and clumsy magic practitioner, Elly Blair. I’ve always loved the idea of cooking and baking, but I won’t lie, I’m lousy at it. Fantasies of chopping, dicing, and mixing float around in my head from time to time. When I ask guests over for dinner, if they know me, they give a grimace and ask what we’re having. I take no offense because I have no illusions to being a great chef. However, I can be a great chef/baker in my books. And that’s why I love writing and reading. You can be carried away into a new world, become anything you want to be when reading a book.My pants fit again, and in the end, I not only a lost weight, but also discovered Elly and her world. So, if there’s something you want to do, pick up a book. You’ll instantly be emerged into a world that might not have been possible before.I’m having a contest until the end of this month. You can enter to have a character in the next Mystic Café book named after you. It’s easy to enter, just leave a comment on my website. www.rosepressey.comThanks so much for having me on your blog, Jayne.Books by Rose Pressey:No Shoes, No Shirt, No Spells (Mystic Cafe Series, Book 1)How to Date a Werewolf (Rylie Cruz, Book 1)Rock 'n' Roll is Undead (Veronica Mason, Book 1)
