Stacking the Shelves #13
Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga @ Tynga's Reviews.
In this meme, I take the opportunity to share what books i've bought, won or received for review.
For review: No print copies arrived on my doorstep for review this week which is partly because I have received most of the September releases already and I have also cut back a little on the amount of books I was requesting for review. I felt I was getting a little overwhelmed and have been a little behind ever since I went overseas in June. I did receive an ebook for review via Novel Publicity which sparked my interest as it's a romantic suspense novel. This will likely be the last indie ebook i will be reading/ reviewing this year (once I finish up with the couple other ones on my virtual TBR shelf) as I've decided I need to cut back due to time constraints. I'm finishing up my third manuscript at the moment and I intend to focus my time on writing, to do this I need to prioritise what I review.
Blurb: When a girl that social worker Kari Marchant places in foster care is brutally murdered, she’s compelled to learn why. Her quest for the truth pits her against friends and coworkers. As Kari works to solve the horrific plot, more people die. She’s been targeted for death and she doesn’t even know it. How far should she go to learn the truth—even if it threatens her life?
When homicide detective Rance Nicolet meets Kari, his attraction to her is powerful—and the feeling is mutual. But things between them go terribly wrong when Kari’s old lover is found murdered with a letter from her in his pocket. The evidence against Kari is damning. Rance’s personal and professional lives collide. Does he blindly believe the woman he’s falling in love with or follow the evidence no matter where it leads? This week on the blog:I'll be posting reviews for:Life without Limits by Nick Vujicic (autobiography)A Corner of White by Jaclyn Moriarty (YA fantasy)Circle of Silence by Carol M.
