Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga @ Tynga’s Reviews.

For Stacking the Shelves, I take the opportunity to share what books I've bought, won or received for review. Click on the book cover to go to Goodreads and find out more information. The week gone...I can't believe how much rain the country has had these past couple of weeks. The weather has been so strange... from stinking hot days to complete washouts! The long weekend has been and gone and I'm counting down the weeks until the next one in March...Over the past week or so I've posted reviews for Australian books: Mistress to the Crown by Isolde Martyn, Rough Diamond by Kathryn Ledson, Rescue Heat by Nina Hamilton and Christmas Wishes by Rhian Cahill. I've also reviewed Garden of Stones by Sophie Littlefield.Aussie gals Nina Hamilton and Jenny Schwartz stopped by the blog for a quick Q&A and the winners were drawn for the Australia Day Giveaway.Plenty of books that will count toward AWW2013, in fact I've already read 14 books (out of 17 this month) that will go toward that challenge. The end of January also saw me polishing off five of ten of the books on my TBR shelf I really wanted to read. For review: I'm really excited to read Sara Foster's latests novel, Shallow Breath- I've read some very promising reviews about this one. I also hope to have the author stop by on the blog soon for a Q&A.

How far would you go to save someone you love?

Two years ago, Desi Priest made a horrific mistake and destroyed her family.

Now, she is coming home to make amends: to her daughter Maya, who’s nurturing her own dangerous plan; to her brother Jackson, who blames himself; and to her close friend Pete, who has spent years shielding her from a devastating truth.

But as Desi returns to her beloved house by the ocean, there is a stranger waiting for her.  Someone who needs her help. Someone whose arrival will reveal a chain of secrets hidden for over twenty years.

And one by one the family will be forced to confront the possibility that they have somehow got things terribly, tragically wrong …

Set across five continents, Shallow Breath is a compelling novel of dashed dreams and second chances. But most of all it is a story about love, and what it really means to be free

Bought: I picked up a couple of books from my local secondhand bookstore over the weekend- two are by Aussie authors.

The week ahead...

I've managed to get a little behind again this past week in reading, mainly because of a couple of books that I had trouble really getting into. I found that when I was choosing books from my TBR shelf and freely reading what I wanted in January over the holidays I was zipping through them a lot more quickly.

Now that I'm cutting down on how many books I review for publishers, I hope to read at least a couple of books from my own shelves each month.

Coming up on the blog this week I'm hosting a giveaway for 3 historical romance titles from Romance at Random, so check back in for that one on Wednesday.

So, that’s it for me. What books have you added to your shelves this week?
