Stacking the Shelves #31
Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga @ Tynga’s Reviews.
For Stacking the Shelves, I take the opportunity to share what books I've bought, won or received for review. Click on the book cover to go to Goodreads and find out more information. The week gone...I've had a very productive weekend in the garden this weekend with my fiance and I embarking on our first attempt at paving an outdoor area... managed to finish it off this afternoon just before the storm hit. It's a little amateurish... but we are pretty proud of ourselves. I'm looking forward to having a relaxing area to have a drink or eat.Over the past week I featured information on the Short Fiction Writer's Guild (SFWG) and their first ever romance short story competition. If you've got a short story in the romance genre lying around or even have one published make sure you submit an entry- there's some great prizes up for grabs.Speaking of romance, Romance at Random are offering 3 historical romance ebooks up for grabs to one lucky follower of my blog.Reviews for Jillaroo by Rachael Treasure, The Prey by Andrew Fukuda and High Stakes by Robin Thomas. For Review: The sequel to Pure, Fuse by Julianna Baggot arrived this week.
After a young Wretch is abducted by the Dome and ‘cleansed’ of her fusings and imperfections, she is only able to repeat the Dome’s latest message: ‘We want our son returned. This girl is proof that we can save you all. If you ignore our plea, we will kill our hostages one at a time.’ Willux will go to any lengths to get his son Partridge back, including murder. Partridge sacrifices himself and returns, in the hope of taking over the Dome from within, only to uncover more of his father’s chilling, dark secrets.
Outside the Dome, Pressia, Bradwell, and El Capitan are decoding the secrets from the past – tucked away in one of the Black Boxes – to uncover the truth that might set the wretches free of their fusings forever. Those fighting Willux will be pushed over boundaries, both land and sea, heart and mind, in their quest – further than they ever imagined.
The week ahead...
Tomorrow I will be posting a joint review for The Captive Sun by Irena Karafilly with fellow blogger Marg @ The Intrepid Reader.

Debut author with Escape Publishing, Juliet Madison stops by to chat about motherhood in fiction.
So, that’s it for me. What books have you added to your shelves this week?
