Top 5 Book Reviews of 2016
The year is almost at an end and so I'd like to share the top 5 book review posts (according to my stats) for 2016. I'm surprised to see that all of these reviews were posted several years ago- so great to see that my older posts still have some traction.5. Ghost Boy by Martin PistoriusAn interesting memoir about a young boy with a disability who reconnects with the world and the special people who dedicated themselves to helping him communicate and attain some independence for a better quality of life.4. 2 States by Chetan BhagatI picked up this book while travelling through India and fell in love with it. This one's a gem and I really should revisit more books by this author. Oh and if you're into Bollywood movies- check out the movie!3. The Other Side of the World by Stephanie BishopI'm happy there's an Aussie author in this list! Set in the 60's in both England and Australia, this book is one I still have mixed feelings about.2. Antonia and her Daughters by Marlena De BlasiI'd say hands down, Marlena De Blasi is one of my favourite non-fiction authors. This book is the fifth in her travel memoir series set in Italy.1.The Seamstress by Maria DuenasThis review was written five years ago and continues to be the most viewed post on my blog year after year! I still remember reading this very large book while travelling across the Nullarbor on my Australian road trip. The story follows a young woman's escapades across the globe during wartime Europe.I hope you can find a book or two to add to your wishlist :-)
