The Australian Women Writers Challenge 2017

Have you signed up for the AWW 2017?Now in it's sixth year, the Australian Women Writers Challenge was set up to tackle gender bias in the reviewing of books written by female Australian authors. It encourages people to pledge to read and review books by Australian women throughout the year.I've participated in this challenge since its conception and I find its pretty easy for me to meet my challenge requirements- even when I'm not reading much. Most books I read happen to be by Australian women.Even if you don't want to commit to the challenge, I'd recommend visiting the AWW2017 website and signing up for to the blog so you can get regular updates and great recommendations on what to read. You can also follow the challenge on Twitter @auswomenwriters. You can also participate in the 'reading' aspect of the challenge without having to review the books as long as you spread the word on social media and tag #AWW2017If you do join up, then you can participate in their new interactive Facebook group and link your reviews to the site.

My pledge

I've chosen the Miles challenge level this year with the intention of reading and reviewing at least 6 books in 2017 written by Australian women.More information available on the AWW2017 website.
