Review: The moment I put down Crescendo I started reading Silence and finished it overnight! I really love the Hush, Hush series. Fitzpatrick has an engaging writing style with great character development- not only the main characters but also some of the side-kicks like Vee, Scott and Marcie. But what makes me turn the pages rapidly; reading late into the night is the suspenseand being one step behind of what is to come. Even though it is written in first POV, Becca finds a way to leave the reader hanging until the very end. Even if Patch and Nora coming together seems predictable the journey there is always exciting and just when you think that they can live happily ever after another cliff-hanger will leave you bubbling with frustration until the release of the next title.Nora and Patch have been captured by the Black Hand who is responsible for the death of Nora’s father. Patch strikes a deal with him to let her go and keep her safe, but when Nora wakes up in a cemetery in a state of confusion she realises she has been missing for 3 months! Not only that, she can’t remember anything that happened in the last five months of her life. This means, she doesn’t remember Patch! Slowly, she gets glimpses of the life she has lost and she recruits Scott, now on the run from the Nephil society to try and figure out who kidnapped her and find out who the guy with the enticing black eyes is that visits her in her dreams.Once again, Fitzpatrick made me question Patch and I didn’t know if I could trust him. Nora becomes a lot stronger in Silence and doesn’t stop until she gets the answers that she is looking for. Her connection with Patch is enough to keep her going with the desire of bringing her father’s killer to justice. The storyline for the fourth book has been hinted at and I honestly can’t wait until it is released! I read Hush, Hush, Crescendo and Silence within a week so I hope I don’t have to wait too long until I get my hands on the next one!
