I'm especially looking forward to our mini camping trip this week where I hope to have a complete technology detox. Speaking of Christmas, I've shared my favourite holiday movies and my yummy Berry Christmas Punch recipe over the past two weeks for the 2012 Virtual Advent Tour. It's a book that hasn't really appealed to me in the past, though I have been curious about the mixed feedback on this story. When I posted my review for The Casual Vacancy by J.K Rowling- a story of which I did not like the characters but it was well written and I was glad I read it- The Slap was recommended as a story that may bring up similar feelings. When I saw it on sale I decided i'd grab a copy and give it a go.
